VAMPIRES
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
When a person becomes a vampire, the physical changes to their earthly body can include, but are not limited to: luminous eyes, of human colour (blue, green, hazel ect), tinged with red, pale, reflective, flawless skin, glass-like, wickedly sharp nails, and hair that will grow at will, as the vampire wishes it. They are forever graceful with their movements and are rarely, if ever, clumsy. Vampires have no need for breathing, but will do so out of habit - it's a good camoflage for when among humans, after all. Although they lose natural bodily fluids, such as saliva and mucus, they retain their blood, so as to be able to change a human that they deem worthy of the gift of immortality. They are able to engage in sexual intercourse for as long as they wish. They have perfect, pearly white teeth and retractable fangs, located behind the maxillary lateral incisors. The act of biting and feeding brings exuisite pleasure for both the vampire and victim, comparable to or even greater than the pinnacle of sexual release and is the most intimate and loving experience that either will ever have. Physically, vampires do not age, but retain the same form that they 'died' in. Features are refined and perfected, with voices becoming alluring, melodic and pleasent to hear, and body odour becoming extremely appealing, leaving them to become extremely attractive to prey. Vampires are also talented in the ways of the arts - music, dancing, singing, acting and also are able to understand a multitude of subjects, including mathematics, science, machinery, puzzles, and the like. They are also able to mimic almost anything, which includes voices, body language, the playing of musical instruments, voices and accents.
ABILITIES:
Immortality. Unless killed by one of the vampire's weaknesses, namely sunlight, fire, stake through the heart or crucifix, it is said that they have the potential to live eternally. As they age they slowly become more powerful in every way. It is said that the first few years of a vampire's life are the most dangerous, as they are still learning the ins and out of their new life. Without a sire to teach them how to live, they can potentially be dangerous, not only to others, but also themselves.
Rapid Healing. Vampires are immune to all human diseases and will not get ill, they are also immune to most attacks other than their known weakness and even then are able to heal and/or regenerate quickly, especially if they feed or are covered in vampire blood. All vampires can potentially heal and/or regenerate from any wound fatal and/or non-fatal, including decapitation. A bullet wound, for instance, would heal within seconds, but serious burns from a fire would require decades, if not centuries, to heal. However, the greater the damage done to them, the stronger they will be when they are fully healed (ex: if they receive intense damage from sunlight, then once they fully heal they will develop a degree of invulnerability to sunlight, they same can be applied to other weaknesses). An influx of blood from a vampire, especially a powerful vampire can greatly speed up the healing process.
Enhanced Physical Attributes and Senses. All vampires have superhuman durability, strength, flexibility and senses (sight, hearing, etc.). They can hear the sound of a heartbeat, a pulse thudding in a vein, and words spoken too quietly or too fast for humans to detect. Their enhanced vision allows them to see the smallest details, and extends into the ultraviolet region of the light spectrum. Vampire vision is not hindered by darkness, and is so acute that they view humans as blind by comparison. They are stronger than any human and are capable of lifting hundreds times their own weight, without damage to themselves. They are able do things many times faster than humans can and when moving "at the speed of light", they can perceive the entire world in slow motion, with little or no effort. Eidetic memory from the moment of becoming a vampire seems to be natural, however, memories of their humans lives, particularly those relating to sensation, fade over the years. In conclusion, they can move faster than the human eye can detect, see in the darkest of night time, pick one sound out of even the noisiest area, and raise the volume of their voice to painfully loud levels.
SITE SPECIFIC:
Pregnancy: Female vampires can be impregnated by male vampires only. They produce born vampires, which are almost completely indistinguishable from a made vampire - except for their eyes and fingernails, which are coloured red and black respectively.
Inter-Species: Vampires can have relationships with other vampires, witches, wizards, shapeshifters, hybrids and werewolves. The only beings they cannot form a relationship with are ghosts, for obvious reasons. Male vampires can impregnant females of any of the aforementioned species, except Hybrids and, of course, Ghosts.
Random: As Vampires have blood in their system, they can get drunk. They can also get piercings and tattoos, if that's your kind of thing. They can cry, though not tears... they will most likely cry venom, or blood.
