SHAPESHIFTERS
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
A person of Shapeshifter blood will be taller, larger, more muscular that a normal human. Depending on their heritage, they will turn into one type of animal. If parentage is of two different animals, the person will, 98% of the time, take after their father. Shifts can be any creature from the snimal kingdom - feline, avian, vulpine, canine, ursus, etc etc... Depending on their Animal, a personal may share slight physical traits. or example - a bird shifter may have a more angular nose than that of a feline shifter. An elephant shifter might have big feet, or a heavier tread... etc etc. Also depending on their shift, they will have a distinct smell about them, detected only by other supernaturals or those with enhanced senses.
ABILITIES:
Shifting. Born with the shifting gene, children learn how to recognise the signs of a first shift from an early age. More than likely will follow father's footsteps and change into that particular animal, but if father is human, will follow mother's footsteps.
Rapid Healing. Although able to be killed, hurt, maimed, etc... a shapeshifter can heal quickly, in minutes if they have to. If near death, healing can take a little longer.
Immortal Unless a shapeshifter chooses to remain in human form, he is otherwise immortal. The constant rejuvination of a Shapeshifter physical body means that they will never grow old. If they conciously decide not to shift anymore, then the ageing process will begin.
SITE SPECIFIC:
Pregnancy: Female shifters can become pregnant, though it is advised not to shift within the first trimester as constant body changes can result in miscarriage.
Inter-Species: Relationships with Vampires, Hybrids, other Shapeshifters, Werewolves, Witches and Wizards and humans are all allowed. We do not allow Shifters to have romantic relationships with Ghosts.
Random: Shapeshifters have quick healing in human form, but it is much less prominent and may take several hours, as opposed to minutes for a wound to heal. They are still quite vulnerable to being killed in human form.
